Summer. Nicolaus Alexandrine sedis patriarcha writes to Pope Honorius III about the sufferings of the Christians in Egypt and the discrimination against them, which have worsened since the crusaders’ failure at Damietta. He sends advice to the emperor Frederick II, suggesting that a landing be made through the flumen Rasceti and the town called Foha.
