Feb. 6. Teramo. On the occasion of the return to the East of the patriarch of Jerusalem, whom he has restored to the dual dignity of patriarch and legate, Pope Gregory IX orders the prelates and senior clergy of the province of Jerusalem, the magistri of the Hospital of St John of Jerusalem and the Knights Templar and the barones, milites and all the laity to receive and obey him as papal legate.
