Apr. 1-30. Nicosia. Henry, Dei gratia rex Cipri, makes a sealed eleemosynary grant, for the benefit of the soul of his relation Hugo de Ibellino, to the church of Nicosia. He gives an annual rent of 200 white besants, assigned on the revenues of the casale called Morfites, payable at harvest time [tempore arearum] in August. If the rent cannot be paid, it will be made up from other revenues in the kingdom of Cyprus. The church of Nicosia is held to provide a priest to celebrate the divine office for the soul of Hugo perpetually. Witnesses: Balianus de Ibellino dominus Beriti et comestabulus regni Cipri; Iohannes de Ibellino; Baldoynus de Ibellino; Guido de Ibellino; Arneisius de Gibeleto. The charter was drawn up by Bonvasalus de Aldo regni Cipri cancellarius.
