May 3. Acre. Inventory of the possessions of the Genoese commune inside and outside the city of Acre, carried out with the use of witnesses on the orders of Simon Malocellus and Ogerius Ricius, consules Ianuensium in Syria ac vicecomites pro comuni. I. IN THE CITY OF ACRE. A garden, consisting of 2 carruche partly surrounded by a wall, adjoining on one side the sea, at the back the wall of the darsana built by the Hospital of St John of Jerusalem, on the other side St Nicholas [and] the land and buildings of the said Hospital of St John, and on 2 sides the land and houses of the Hungarians. II. OUTSIDE THE CITY OF ACRE. 2 lands on the plain (in plano) [of Acre], belonging to the commune, one of which is situated at a locus called Dochum and is designated by 16 markers (terminis sexdecim terminata), on which are written these letters: IANUA. Another land belonging to the commune on the plain [of Acre], situated in a locus called Cochetum, designated by 11 markers. The rents and other possessions of the commune of Genoa, have been listed in a charter drawn up by the consul and a companion, in relation to the possessions and rents that the commune of Genoa has on this side of the sea (14 July 1249). Witnesses and inquisitores: Iohannes Detessalve; Benvenutus Toxicus; Ogerius de Castello placearius comunis; and many others. The inventory was drawn up at the orders of the consuls by Solimanus de Murtedo sacri palacii notarius.
