At the petition of Hugo, abbas of St Mary of the Valley of Jehoshaphat and Baldwin, rex gloriosus, Patriarch Arnulf of Jerusalem, wanting to restore the holy places of Jerusalem that have been destroyed by the infidels [infideles], grants as a contribution to the rebuilding of the church of the abbey of St Mary of the Valley of Jehoshaphat half the tithe of Bervaldus, a third of the tithe of Radulfus Aloensis, and the tithes of Gumfredus de Cauis which were drawn from Mezeret and Dalfim.
