Baldwin, per dei gratiam in sancta civitate Iherusalem Latinorum rex sextus, makes an eleemosynary grant, confirming under seal an arbitration in a long dispute between Rogerius de Molinis magister, together with his brothers of the Hospital of St John of Jerusalem, and Rohardus de Chabor over land situated between Beroet and the Tolonum Rohardi de Chabor, which Rohardus unjustly claimed. The king ordered Ioscelinus, his uncle and senescalcus, some brothers of the Hospital - with the permission of Rohardus -, Antelmus de Luca, Radulfus de Nigella and others to walk the ground and measure out the boundaries. Rohardus then publicly renounced his claims. He frees the abbey’s ship [navis] from anchoraticum, which is 1 silver marcha, customarily payable by ships coming to the Holy Land. He permits the abbey to enter and leave his kingdom freely when carrying its goods and he frees it from the payment of duty [consuetudo] on anything the monks need. Ioscelinus must owe the king servitium of 2 milites until Philippus repays the debt. But should Philippus die before repayment, the service of 2 milites will not be demanded until the king himself restores the 2000 besants.
