text: Jun. 22. Acre. Baldwin, dei ordinante pietate Ierosolimorum rex quartus, makes a sealed eleemosynary grant to the leprosary of St Lazarus outside the walls of Jerusalem. He confirms the sale to St Lazarus by Melenganus, a Syrian ra’is [Sirus regulus] of 13 carrucae of vines in the plain of Bethlehem for 1,500 besants and a horse. Witnesses: Radulfus Tyri electus; Adam regis capellanus; Hugo de Bethsan frater Templi; Symon Tiberiadensis; Clerembaldus vicecomes Accon; Willelmus de Barra; Guillelmus elemosinarius regis; Hugo de Anlans frater domus illius [St Lazarus], to whom was given the charter, which was written by Daniel clericus regis, the brother of Hugo Saliens in Bonum.Jun. 22.
