In relation to a dispute between the bishop of Acre and the plebanus and clergy of the church of St Mark, and other Venetians living in Acre, over parochial rights, Pope Gregory IX had ordered both parties, through the abbas Sancti Samuelis de Monte Gaudio Premonstratensis ordinis Jerosolimitane diocesis, to send procurators to Rome.The bishop of Acre has complained that the Venetian plebanus has made no response. Pope Gregory IX orders the patriarch of Jerusalem, the papal legate, to see that the plebanus and the Venetians in Acre respond within a year. Jun. 13. Lateran.
