[Balianus Sydoniensis dominus et reg]ni Ierosolimitani baiulus issues a sealed confirmation of the sale made by Nicholaus, the son of the daughter of Sayt scriba, of his feodum at Manuetus to the Hospital of St John of Jerusalem, represented by frater Gerinus magister and frater Guillelmus de Tyneriis preceptor [Acconensis] and other brothers, for 1600 Saracen besants. Nicholaus had explained before the barones in the curia regia that because of his needs he had to sell according to the custom [consuetudo] of the kingdom of Jerusalem [observed] at Acre, Tyre and Caesarea.
