Referring to his letter on the death of Patriarch Rainier of Antioch [Sept. 25 1225], Pope Honorius III recalls how he asked the chapter of the church of Antioch to elect a successor. He now orders the chapter to proceed to an election within a month of receiving this letter. Otherwise it should send 2 or 3 of its members to the Holy See, in order to consult on the choice of a patriarch.
