text: Mar. 15. With the agreement of Patriarch William, Bernardus and his wife Haoisa sell their house in the city of Jerusalem to Petrus prior and the canons of the Holy Sepulchre for 200 besants. The house is bordered by a house of the canons which once belonged to Willelmus drugomannus, the church of St Chariton, the via publica and the house of Theodorus. Anyone who challenges this falsely will be excommunicated and will be liable to a fine of a pound of gold payable to the royal treasury [in fiscum regium auri libram persolvat]. Fulk, dei gratia rex Iherusalem tercius Latinus nec non baiulus et tutor Antiocheni principatus, records that the canons of the Holy Sepulchre had sought in the court of Antioch [curia Antiochiᶒ] properties in the territory of Antioch that they had lost a long time ago. Having investigated through officials of the secrete [secretarii] and witnesses, with reference to the principality and the patriarchate, Fulk judges in favour of the Holy Sepulchre. Out of reverence for the relic of the True Cross, which he has brought with him to Antioch to help free the Christians, he makes an eleemosynary grant, restoring to the Holy Sepulchre the possessions it had under Byzantine rule [in tempore Grecorum], as recorded by the officials of the secrete [a secretariis nostris]. text: Dec. 25 1134 – Dec. 24 1135. Adalais, widow of the late Hugo Ebriacus, with the consent of her son Willelmus Ebriacus, makes an eleemosynary grant to the canons of the Holy Sepulchre. She has been made a consoror of the Holy Sepulchre. She gives the canons a rent of 12 besants or 120 rotula of oil a year on condition that they commemorate the obit of her husband Hugo Ebriacus each year on 5 October. Witnesses: Guidofressus; Guiniguisus; Stephanus; Bertrandus Segnoretus; Paganus ferrarius. Peregrinus wrote the charter and sealed it on the orders of his lord and his son Willelmus Ebriacus. Rogerius Ramathensis episcopus, with the consent of Radulfus archidiaconus and all the chapter of Sanctus Georgius [Lydda], confirms that he gave the church of the Holy Sepulchre, Willelmus prior and its canons 2 casalia called Capharuth and Gith, with the agreement of Patriarch Warmund. He gives 2 other casalia called Kefrescilta and Porphilia. He grants the Holy Sepulchre half tithes of the harvests and all tithes on other things at these 4 casalia, on condition that the prior and canons of the Holy Sepulchre recognize the rights of the bishop, canons and church of Sanctus Georgius [of Lydda] to the tithes of Castellum Arnaldi and to the tithes of a casale of the Hospital of St John called Bulbul, which are waste at present. In the presence of Patriarch William of Jerusalem, who seals the charter, Riso, capellanus to Bohemond I and Bohemond II of Antioch, gives the canons of the Holy Sepulchre his houses with an apple orchard [pomerium], which he had bought from Willelmus medicus for 64 besants. They are to hold it under the same terms as he held it from Bohemond II. The houses are situated next to those of Pontius Antiocheni thesaurarius on the other side of the public way [via publica]. Riso reserves for himself one camera, to provide a small living place [habitaculum] for his servus, whom he has had baptized, for as long as he lives and serves him faithfully.
